How I Made My First $1K From YouTube (With <1,000 Subs)

6 months ago I had zero online presence. No instagram, no X, no LinkedIn, no TikTok, no YouTube.

Today I’m generating new leads every week to a strictly online business through strictly online content strategies. And I still have less than 1,000 subs. Proof that you don’t need to be Alex Hormozi or Iman Gadzhi to use long-form video content for red hot lead generation.

In the next 3 minutes I’ll show you how to do the same. You don’t need a fancy ass studio or an audience. All you need is:

  • A no-brainer offer.

  • An uncompromising focus on who your target audience is.

  • A phone to film on.

❌🧠 NO-BRAINER OFFERS:

We can boil down what everyone wants into 4 main categories: To be prettier, to be richer, to be happier, and to be healthier.

We’re creatures of habit and your offer needs to solve one of those problems. You don’t need to solve the entirety of the problem, just a slice of the pie:

  • 20 minute or less weight loss regimens

  • easy to use sales scripts

  • lower back pain relief

  • making meaningful friendships irl

  • etc.

Understanding human psychology is at the root of every successful business. Your offer MUST be useful to people or the content you make about it will not be useful. And if the content isn’t useful, why would anybody watch it?

Make a great offer that solves an undeniable problem and you will make content that matters.

🎯 TARGET AUDIENCE:

Let’s be very clear about one thing: the goal of content marketing isn’t more views - it’s more money. So don’t waste your time trying to reach everyone (“everyone” isn’t a viable client avatar). Make videos that appeal to your target market specifically.

The views may be lower, but the people who watch will be searching, ready-to-buy customers. Know your audience intimately and make the content that they’re looking for. Study what they watch, understand the questions they’re asking, make thumbnails that emulate their favorite creators.

Chase views and you’ll get views. Chase customers and you’ll get customers.

📱🎤 STARTING EQUIPMENT & SET-UP:

Make use of what you have, but get the essentials right.

  • you DON’T need a new camera (modern smart phones are plenty good)

  • you DO need a mic that improves audio (viewers are more forgiving when it comes to visual & editing quality, but not with audio quality)

  • we DO need to see your face clearly with good lighting (use a natural light from a window to start, buy a cheap studio softbox if windows aren’t an option)

The last 2 are non-negotiables.

The lesson here is that if you focus your content you can improve. Videos that ask specific questions and provide specific solutions will lead clients right to your feet…

And you’ll be there to help (for money of course).

Cheers 🍻
